OFPOD -- Who can crack a one-time pad before it's used?

Kids are cute, right? Today's OFPOD has one, and a rather young someone else. Here's Bruce Schneier with our daughter Megen, from Midwestcon 1984. I suspect Bruce was trying to teach her how to encrypt the name badge she's holding, thus accounting for Megen's somewhat bemused look.

We didn't know when this skinny young kid started hanging around that we'd become good friends. But I'm glad it turned out that way.

Just a minute: I knew that rather young someone else back then! We were both in Minneapa in the summer of '82. I think I'd met him during one of his visits to Minneapolis/trips to Minicon, but we were both in the roomshare of 5 fans that Laurie Mann put together for Chicon IV.
