It occurred to me this morning that my first stories were published in the late 70s, which means I've had fiction published in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10's. Five decades.
As long as you don't turn into one of those aging fen/pros who complain that the kids in SF today don't know anything and why are they reading that diluted crap and they should have more respect for the antecedents of the genre blah blah blah...
As long as you don't turn into one of those guys, then you're not old, you're a Respected Elder Statesman.
