State of the Union

Bush's "State of the Union" address was about as bland a speech as I've ever heard, full of generalized platitudes that only disturbed individuals could fail to agree with, and short of many actual details of how such things might be accomplished. When he did offer actual strategies, it was obvious that only Republicans had any interest in following them, and even their agreement was tepid.

I suspect that not much is going to happen on his legislative agenda in the next year and a half...

I think there's a bumper sticker in that!

Anyway, the agenda is still Bush's - the Senate killed the minimum wage hike today. *sigh*
