I went to bed Sunday night feeling just fine. I woke up Monday with my left ankle throbbing a bit, and when I put it on the floor, I was limping like I'd twisted it. Pressing on the inside of the ankle just above the ankle bone hurt. I thought it would go away, but I was on it all day teaching, and it continued to get progressively stiffer and more painful, until I was pretty much hobbling up the stairs to the house when I got home, and grimacing like an old man.

I'm still hobbling around today.

How the hell did I manage to twist my ankle in bed? I sure don't remember doing it...

Well if you're at all like my son you take your feet and fling them around while your eyes are shut. This technique works best if you can get at least one of them through the bars on the crib and then twist so it's stuck there.:)

Actually, I kinda figure that I must have had my feet tangled in the sheets or caught between the end of the bed and the footboard, and I do turn frequently during the night...

Give Nico a big hug for me!

ow!

Y'know, when you do something that hurts that much, it would be so much better if you could plausibly blame it on something heroic or something outstanding you did in the dojo. Hurting things in bed -and when you're asleep, for heavens sake... We're all getting old. sigh.
