For the first time in a long time (at least a decade or two) I pulled out the watercolors and brushes and attempted to actually do something. The result is massively mediocre, but the victory is in doing it at all.
That sounds nice. I was doing a lot more art earlier in the year but haven't much since I started doing childcare and teaching for four extra kids here at the house 2x a week. Which is weird, because they are all into art, but I just haven't felt mentally collected enough to plan art curriculum for them, most of the time. While cleaning the other day I did come upon some coloring postcards I got for our sanity last Spring. For a while R and I regularly sat in front of the TV, coloring. Lately though i mostly watch shows and movies while sitting at the sewing machine, making covid masks, or while doing dishes or laundry.
Do you guys have netflix? I've seen some music documentaries there you might enjoy. "What Happened, Miss Simone?" and "Quincy" are both quite excellent.
