 Police were perhaps my favorite band of the 80s. I admired Sting's bass playing, his compositions, and his singing (though he had a MUCH higher voice than me! "Roxanne", anyone?) SYNCHRONICITY is still one of my favorite albums.

 

But I actually like him BETTER as a solo artist -- there he's done some incredible material, much more sophisticated songwriting than anything he did for Police. So here's my take on his "Fields of Gold" from TEN SUMMONER'S TALES.
