Understanding Statistics 101: I heard Trump yesterday bragging about how the United States has tested over 5,200,000 people, "more than any other country!" Which is true. But...

The problem -- every country doesn't have the same population. What really matters is how many people you tested as a percentage of population. When you look at the number of tests per million people (according to the information on Worldometers), Iceland is #1, having tested 134,797 people per million, or 13.5% of their population. The United States ranks 41st in the world with 15,949 tests per million people or roughly 1.6% of the population -- and most of the first world countries are ahead of us. Heck, Russia has done better, with 18,649 tests per million (1.9%)

So when you hear this administration spouting off big numbers to prove how 'great and tremendous' their response has been, be skeptical. Be very skeptical.
