The US team won, but Colombia outplayed them in the first half, the offense seemed to be missing, and what saved them was a red card foul by the Colombian keeper and a foul in the box by a Colombian player that led to a goal on the penalty kick, and playing 11 against 10 for nearly the entirety of the second half.
That doesn't bode well for things going forward unless they can figure out how to score goals. If they can get through China (and that's a distinct 'if'), they'd be looking at Germany or France...

But Germany (especially) and France loom next if the US can somehow manage to avoid China upsetting them. I can't see the US getting past that round unless they make some significant advances in their play.
