MBP: And a last cardinal (Help! I fell into a cardinal sequence and can't get out!) This one's sitting on the bench at the back of the yard. It looks comfortable, and it's probably pooped on the seat so no one will want to sit there.
There are worse places to be than in a cardinal sequence. :)
I love cardinals. They're the only bright-colored bird that lives in the neighborhood where I grew up, so the only birds (other than blue jays and pigeons) I learned to identify as a kid.
