Alas, Sheila Gilbert did not get the Best Editor, Long Form Hugo award at LonCon -- though I believe she richly deserves the award. It went instead to Ginjer Buchanan, who after a long career as a fine editor herself, announced that she was retiring this year. I don't at all begrudge Ginjer the Hugo, especially given that it was her last opportunity to win one; it just means that we'll have to work to make sure that Sheila gets on the ballot for next year, and that she wins this time...
And hey, this time I'll try to be there to see it!
