It's Double Cardinal Sunday! There's one theory that the dinosaurs are still with us: they're the birds. Look at the second picture of the cardinal. Can't you see a velociraptor in that pose?
Those are wonderful! The beak looks pretty ferocious in the first photo.
I just had two bluejays on my feeder, exchanging views. But as soon as I turned on my camera, although I was inside, they flew away.
I've seen "my" female cardinal several times this morning. She was probably foraging for her nestling, because it was making quite a racket somewhere in the privet hedge.
