A serendipitous shot. I was snapping a picture of a starling having trouble staying on a feeder just as it decided to fly off... and so caught the starling in flight. I rather like it.
Nice! I love the feet in that one, ready to snag the feeder. I've been trying to get some better "in-flight" pictures, but you have to anticipate the movement, and there's a lot of luck involved.
Yes, sometimes it just kinda happens. I noted on the Flickr page for this photo that both birds were perched on the feeder when I pressed the shutter button.
