This is another for the hive mind. This seems to resemble a female (or possible juvenile) brown-headed cowbird, but it's a bit on the small side. We've had a few male cowbirds around the feeder in the last few months, so it's not out of the question. Or it could be a sparrow of some sort. I'll give you two views.

Whatever it is, it has a badly-displaced wing feather.

My local library sends out Recommended Reading emails. The list I received today includes Immortal Muse. It also includes books by Elizabeth Bear and Terry Pratchett. Whoever compiles the list has good taste.

It does look like a cowbird even if it is on the small side. Female Indigo Buntings can look a lot like small female cowbirds but the posture and head shape this bird shows in the second photo, with the forehead sloping down at close to the same angle as the bill slopes tells me that this is a cowbird rather than a bunting.
