These are "common"?

I've been trying to get a picture of these visitors for a bit; they tend to fly away at the slightest sound or movement, but I finally got 'em... Common grackles -- I think they're striking birds.

I like grackles. They're screechy and they often drive away other birds, but as you say, they're striking.

Their yellow eyes make them look quite mad, in a fun way.

We lost most of our grackles in Chicago -they're very susceptable to West Nile Virus... as are Jays.
