Two more UK pics, this time from Oxford. One is the sword in the pavement just inside the Christ Church Memorial Garden. The inscription above it (from "Pilgrim's Progress") says "My sword I give to him that shall succeed me in my pilgrimage" -- the pedant in me wishes to change the "that" in the quote to "who." The garden is dedicated to those who died in WWI.
The second photo is taken in St. Mary's Passage, where you can see the fauns and lamp post that reputedly inspired C.S. Lewis to place the same in Narnia. The Radcliffe Camera looms in the background.
