OPOD -- Football? Really?

If you were wondering, the family emergency referred to was the fact that my father fell and broke his hip -- he fractured the end of the femur where the "ball" of the femur fits into the "socket" of the hip. He had surgery this morning, which went well -- essentially half a hip replacement where they put in an artificial ball in that socket. He's now feeling much better, though he has some recovery ahead...

So here's not an OFPOD, but simply an OPOD (Old Picture Of the Day): my father in his college days, when he played running back for the University of Cincinnati.
