OFPOD -- Muscle Shirt Sans Muscles

My hope with today's OFPOD is that the presence of the wonderful Mary M. Mertens will counterbalance the fact that I'm also in the photo, thus driving away viewers who recoil in horror. This one's from the Archon 9 in 1985 (as my name badge proudly proclaims). I obviously didn't take this picture, as I'm in it. Don't know if it was George or Denise who did, as we have an original of the picture in an album, but it was also among the scans George sent me the other day. Ah well, another mystery.

I don't recall the circumstances; I may have been signing one of my books for Mary (who I don't talk to nearly often enough -- I need to call her!). However, the picture does illustrate that wearing a "muscle shirt" was a poor, poor choice for me...

Well, when I get around to looking at the left side of the photo, I see something that appears to be a more-or-less normal muscle, so I'm unclear on why a muscle shirt is a poor choice.
