OK, I've received a revised Worldcon schedule. Assuming it holds, here's where you can find me during the convention:

Friday, 10:30 - 12:00, at the Autograph tables (Dealer's Room?): AUTOGRAPH SESSION with Catherine Shaffer, E. Lily Yu, Harry Turtledove, Laura Anne Gilman, Leigh Bardugo, Roland Green, and Tim Waggoner. I suspect I'll have free time to chat if you show up!

Friday, 4:30 - 6:00, Crystal A: The WILDS CARDS panel with George RR Martin, Carrie Vaughn, Mary Anne Mohanraj, Melinda Snodgrass, and Paul Cornell. Should be well-attended (if only because of George -- the WILD CARDS panels have always been a blast!

Saturday, 5:30 - 6:00, Addams: A READING. Don't know what I'll be reading yet, but I do love reading, especially when there's an audience -- so be an audience for me!

Sunday, 3:00 - 4:30, Gold Coast: STALKING THE ELUSIVE STORY IDEA with Alec Nevala-Lee, Jacqueline Lichtenberg, Jay Lake, and Vylar Kaftan. Can you teach creativity? What is creativity, and how can you generate story ideas? Come to the panel and discover the answers.

The schedule is, of course, subject to change. But right now, that's what it looks like. I'd love to see you there!

It's an addition of two panels... I *think* Steven Silver got involved in the programming after several writers had the same issues I had. I know one Hugo nominee who wasn't listed at all on the preliminary schedule that went out. I also wrote directly to programming, asking what was going on.

Don't know what happened initially, or how it got fixed, but it seems that many of those who had little-to-nothing in the first schedule now have at least a few things scheduled.

Megen and her crew will be at DragonCon. Look her up if you have a chance.

A large number of the writers I know have given up Worldcons for DragonCon, saying they're treated better and get much more 'visibility' at DragonCon. I wonder if it's time for me to make that switch also.

DragonCon may be better for writers due do its standing human infrastructure, people doing the same job year after year as opposed to reinventing the wheel every year, but it strikes me as being too big to fun for the average person.

Are you bringing your lovely wife? Would you fine folks like to meet up for lunch or something during the con? David and I are both going and some of the time we will be child free. :)

Yes, the lovely wife is coming as well. It would be lovely to get together, with or without the kids.

I shall do my level best to see you on at least one of these!
And round and about, of course.

I will try to make the reading and I am also up for a meal with you folks sometime.

You missed our legendary Indian dinner at Windycon.
