It's the end of world as we know it.

This week, TOAST! will be playing at DeSha's (in Harpers Point) from 7:30-11:00. And this is an incredibly momentous night for the group. That's because this Saturday will mark the 500th consecutive performance where we will be playing exactly the same songs!

This doesn't mean, by the way, that we actually know the songs or that we can play them perfectly in our sleep (though Tom Steele was seen sleeping out in the audience during "Come Together" the last time we played. He did, however, perform his part in the song perfectly.)

No -- TOAST! is the band world-renowned for creative mistakes. No other musicians have found as many different ways to foul up a tune than us. We can practically guarantee one 'clam' per song as well as a total trainwreck at least once a night. It's not every band that has this kind of capability, believe us! Steve Leigh, with his league-leading EPS (Errors Per Song) of 1.76 despite the fact that he has the words and chords sitting right there in front of him, is hoping to up his average to 2.00 during this record-breaking gig. SG is making certain that his sax mic will be directly facing a speaker. Dale Lewis will be using his checkered shoes as guitar picks (he plays with a lot of sole!). Rick Hagee will be wearing mittens while he plays his keyboards; Tom Steele will be playing acoustic guitar with his feet; Mike Russell will bang his gong with his head. Tom Vogel will just be playing as usual.

Come and see TOAST! break their own record. (In fact, many people have said that if TOAST! ever made a record, the best thing to do with it would be to break it.)

This is the night you don't want to miss! Be there, and be part of the grand celebration! Have a chance to play cowbell with the band! Win prizes! (Ok, we're lying about that last part...)

We'll look forward to seeing you!

(The band sincerely apologizes for exceeding their exclamation point usage quota in this email. In penance, we're giving you these extra questions marks???????????)
