So on the way back from AWP in Chicago, about 50 miles from Indy, the Megabus hit a deer -- or rather, a deer hit the Megabus, since it's not like the deer was standing there and the driver rammed it, but that the deer darted out in front of the bus. The Megabus was the winner of the collision, though it sustained several injuries itself, including a cracked windshield, the loss of grille parts, and the inability of the front door to open. However, the driver handled himself well, and we managed to make it to Indy, then to Cincinnati. The deer, I suspect, was not so lucky...

My deer bounded off into the brush like a pride of lions was hunting it. It didn't look any the worse for wear, but I can't be sure. My bus sustained less damage than yours (just a cracked headlight), but it was a 1970s-era transit bus made of steel instead of plastic.
