I've gone and cast my votes for people who, given the current political climate, are unlikely to win their elections. How about you?

I went and cast my votes for people who, given the current political climate, seemed the least crazy. Some of them may even win.

I voted. It's always a welcome surprise when candidates I vote for win. (The 2008 election marked the first time ever that happened for me at the Presidential level.)

Now I wait to learn the results, both locally and nationally. And hope that sanity prevails.

vote (early and often)

Well, Illinois Gov. is a tossup -let's see what happens. Same with Illinois Senate... the R candidate for Gov is running on the "well, I'm not Blago, and I'm a downstate Republican". this is important in Illinois -Illinois basically has 3 voting blocs. Cook County (Chicago and inner ring suburbs), which is basically reliably Democratic, the collar counties, which can go either way, but are more reliably Republican, and 'Downstate'. Downstate tends to be Conservative Republican -votes closer to states south of the Mason/Dixon Line he's socially a Neanderthal. Brady got a perfect 100 from the Illinois Right-to-Life committee.

Exactly 0 of my choices were successful. Sigh.
