Best Moment in the State of the Union address...

...was when Obama chided the Supreme Court Justices who were sitting directly in front of him.

"With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests –- including foreign corporations –- to spend without limit in our elections. (Applause.) I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. (Applause.) They should be decided by the American people. And I'd urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to correct some of these problems."

At least Alito didn't shout out "You lie!"

And considering that just about every legal pundit I've heard on both sides of the aisle agree with what Obama said (although I'm sure some of the Republican shills will back away from that position now), I'd say that Alito and his ilk really didn't look at all the ramifications (or looked and didn't care since they felt it would help their party).

I saw that too, and I was wondering just what he thought it meant, then. I wonder if they really thought that through, and if they did, they should be ashamed.
