John McCain pledged a few months ago that he would never run a negative campaign. Cindy McCain agreed with him. She said: "I believe we're going to see a great debate, which the American public deserves, more importantly. None of this negative stuff, though, you won't see it come out of our side -- at all... My husband is absolutely opposed to any negative campaigning at all."

Uh-huh. Yeah. I guess straight talk doesn't translate into consistent actions.

I'm thinking maybe the intended subtext of the McCain campaign's recent attacks is Senator Obama is an "uppity…" uh … you know …

Round these parts, we're seeing a lot of Obama ads pointing out McCain's lying attack ads and suggesting that people just go straight to the source at Obama's site.

I'm waiting for commercials that say, "If Barak Obama had the power to singlehandedly double gas prices in the past year, he wouldn't be running for president--he'd be ruling the planet already. BOW DOWN, PUNY MORTALS!"

Seriously, I almost got into a fight with a dumbass who laid all our economic woes at Obama's feet, while stating in the next breath that he's too "inexperienced" to be president.

Well, she wasn't a complete dumbass. When I said, "So this inexperienced know-nothing has so much political power that he was able to singlehandedly ruin our economy? Wow! That's quite a feat!" she rapidly changed the subject to non-political topics.
