America is not a Christian nation
America is a nation that contains Christians, but it also contains Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Mormons, Quakers, Pagans, and syncretistic churches of all shapes and descriptions, as well as people who believe in no god or gods at all. America is a nation where a cathedral, a mosque, a synagogue, and a temple can all inhabit the same block without conflict. America is a nation that does not demand you believe in only one faith among many.
If you believe America is a Christian nation, then your America is too small.

America is a nation whose people were here long before Europeans. America is a nation whose existence was fueled by Spaniards and French, by Irish and Germans, by Polish and Danish. America is nourished and sustained by those from Africa, from India, from the Middle East, from Asia. America contains all the colors that flesh can hold. The hue of your skin or the country of your ancestors should not matter here; all that matters is that you are here.
