TOAST GOING ROGUE!

TOAST! the band that simply oozes musical talent (we clean it up afterward, honest!), will be having their new book release party THIS FRIDAY NIGHT at the SILVERTON CAFE (7201 Montgomery Road) from 8:30 - 12:30. Yes, that's right: fresh from our groundbreaking interview with Oprah, where we revealed what it really meant when the band 'lived together' in North College Hill, and after seeing our group "Speedo" cover on the latest Newsweek (banned as being "incredibly disturbing" in at least a dozen cities), we're going to appear in all our glory in Silverton.

We may even wear those Speedos!

Did you know that you can see Deer Park from there?

We'll be selling copies of GOING ROGUE, our expose of the music industry and how we all should have been rock star gods if it weren't for a cruel twist of fate, when we turned down being the back-up band for Tom Jones. Learn how Rick Hagee actually had Elton John's hands transplanted onto his wrists after a farming accident. Tremble with fear knowing that Tom Vogel came within a hair (back when he had hair) of becoming Spinal Tap's next drummer. Shake your head in amazement at the revelation that Steve Gallant grows his own (reeds, that is). Feel your jaw drop when you discover that Steve Leigh hasn't memorized a lyric in over three decades! Gasp in awe when you realize that not only does Tom Steele sound like James Taylor, but he actually is James Taylor, who's been in hiding after being stalked by Carly Simon. Stare in terror when you see that Dale Lewis has misread the title GOING ROGUE as GOING ROUGE, and is wearing make-up. See Mike Russell desperately pretend that he doesn't know us and that he showed up thinking it was a Slice gig.

You can't miss this. If you do, we're going to send people to your house to drag you to the gig anyway. So avoid the hassle and the gawking neighbors, and get yourself down to the Silverton Cafe this Friday night, when once again TOAST! demonstrates that when it comes to local cover bands, they're another one.

Be there! You know you want to! And who knows, maybe it'll be YOU who gets to play cowbell!
