[livejournal.com profile] tcastleb is putting together a proposal for a non-fiction book tentatively called Dare to Speak its Name: queer science fiction and fantasy, the writers who write it and the readers who read it. If you're a reader of this sub-genre, and you'd like to help her organize/prioritize the book and the issues it discusses, she's put up a survey you can fill out.

The survey is here if you'd like to contribute.

Thank you! And, uh, clicky things. I could do clicky things but they don't link to the text real well (or I haven't figure out how to do it) so the highlights work better. I'd prefer clicky things too. Oh well.

I want to thank you for creating the survey. It's helpful to put things down in words sometimes, & to think consciously about how to answer certain questions & my feelings toward queerness.

Did you see Scalzi's post about "Pronouning Your Hermaphrodite" (http://scalzi.com/whatever/?p=679#comments)? There were some mentions of Greg Egan using vim, vir, vis, but I don't think anyone mentioned 'Dark Water's Embrace' yet.
