For those whose nominees won the MAGIC OF TWILIGHT contest, the books are now on their way (at book rate, so it will be 5 - 7 days before they arrive...). For the rest of you (*hint, hint*) you'll just have to buy a copy...

As for A MAGIC OF NIGHTFALL, well, I just hit the halfway point in the revisions for the submission draft. The book's now at 164,000 words, which means it's put on 11,000 words since the completion of the first full draft. I suspect it'll put on at least another 11,000 in the second half...

I'm really liking the book thus far, though -- that's a good sign, right?

Will I be seeing everyone at Applecon this weekend?

Yes, and yes.

Yes, it's a good sign, and while I can't speak for everyone, you will be seeing me at Applecon this weekend. If you have a spare 7 gigs or so of disk space, I also have some files you might like. (Will Shetterly's 1993 videos of Emma, Fred, and Steve performing at the Borders Bookstore and also at the New Riverside Cafe.)

This offer is also open to other Applecon members who bring flash drives of ample size or who can plug my 40 gig portable drive into their laptops.

Almost certainly.

Sounds like the rewrites are going well. Is it a good sign that you like it - might depend on what it is a sign of - but in your case, I'd say, Yes.

I might be a last minute addition to Applecon. Not sure I could live with myself if I missed this "All Steve, All the time" event!

Yes.

One advantage of screwing up and having to drop that class is I have more time, even.
