Our friend Jeff, who was going to come and visit us this week, couldn't make it. Which means that I'm off the hook for going to the Creation Museum. On the one hand, it would have been interesting to see how they explained away the science; on the other, I really don't have any interest in helping them survive financially.
And I don't, like poor John Scalzi, have a rabid fan base forcing the issue.
I mean, hey, rabid fan bases are good, but in this one case, I won't grieve. :-)

I've seen a photo of their Garden of Eden diorama. Adam and Eve are standing waist-deep in
the Big Muddya pool of water, which is obviously their way of hiding the naughty bits. I guess having them stand behind fig branches was too trite. What worries me isn't that there's a Creation Museum, but that "Theocrats R Us" is busy turning our national parks into distribution points for their anti-science tracts. And that nearly all the Republican candidates for president have declared that they don't believe in evolution. Time to take those French classes; five more points and I qualify to emigrate to Canada.

I admit to being disappointed in Scalzi's commenters going on and on about search terms and producing little useful about censorship. That's what happens when you give people a prurient angle for the conversation.
K. [let's trivialize the problem! That'll make us feel betetr!]

this entry (http://www.scalzi.com/whatever/005203.html) or perhaps one of the earlier ones, rather than the cover page.

There are posts regarding that further down on the page; I couldn't figure out, however, how to link only to that... Hence, I confused you. My fault, not Scalzi's.
