Welcome back to the Pandemic World Basement Tapes. This one's an Irish traditional song called "The Irish Rover", versions of which appear in written records all the way back to the early 1700s. It was (ironically) originally a 'temperance' song about the evils of drink, but is now a rowdy drinking song (Yay!)

So grab a pint or a dram of the water of life or a nice ginger ale if you prefer something non-alcoholic. I don't care—just sing along and clap in the chorus. You can't do it wrong. You can find a ton of alternate lyrics to this one, unsurprisingly; this one's a fairly 'clean' version (though there's some innuendo here and there).

As always, first take recording -- as well it should be! Subscribe if you like, leave a comment if you like, and enjoy that drink, whatever it might be.
