Everybody knows, but they're not talking...

 Things are still looking rather dire here, and I was looking through the list of songs I know to find another that—like Stephen Stills’ “For What It’s Worth”—resonated with how I’ve been feeling. I saw this song by the late, lamented, and stellar songwriter Leonard Cohen: “Everybody Knows” and knew I’d found it. There are some incredible lyric lines in this, is all I can say. So here it is.

 

You already know my intention with these recordings, so I won’t repeat that mantra again. You can sing along with the chorus, though—loudly, so I can hear you! That’s how it goes...
