80,000 is a nice round number

Passed the 80,000 mark today on the novel-in-progress. Getting closer! But even after I type "The End" on the this draft, there be another pass, and another, and another after Sheila reads it and gives her editorial comments, then the copy-edits and galleys, and eventually it'll show up in the bookstores. When? Don't know at this point.
