This is not confined to only the Republican Party (though the conservative Koch Brothers are the poster children for this behavior), but the increasing funding by the extremely wealthy of political interest organizations, which in turn indirectly promote candidates who support their agendas, means that we are rapidly becomimg less a republic and more a plutocracy.
