MBP: I happened to step out on the deck with my camera at an opportune moment. As I focused on the feeder, a big bluejay swooped in. It perched on the supports for a few moments, calling raucously, then started to feed. A few minutes after it left, a tufted titmouse arced down, and this one was less shy than the usual titmouse so I got a few decent pictures of it. Over the next few days, it's a bluejay and titmouse tag team. Let's start with the jay...

after last nights wind and rain fest, I am afraid to even look at my feeders to see if they are still standing.. and my poor birdies and critters ...

Oh, those feathers! So beautiful. Jays over here aren't blue, though they're pretty in their own way.

They are pretty, though bluejays can be aggressive birds around the feeder. And noisy, to boot!

I lost one feeding station in the front area, one of the smaller seed feeders is totally smashed (the whole thing went over hard) and I havent had the heart to check out back yet. Maybe tomorrow. But now I can buy a new bright feeder to replace that one... always an upside.
