Yesterday I mentioned the titmouse who was hammering seeds on the steel rod. There was another titmouse on the feeder as well, and after he hammered the seed, he'd fly over to the other titmouse and feed her -- my guide to Ohio birds tells me that's courting behavior for titmouses or titmice or titmeeces (whatever the plural should be). Here's the other titmouse, mouth open. She's definitely better-looking than her suitor.
