I will be at Detcon in Detroit (July 17 - 20), so if you're also planning to be there, here's where you can most easily find me. This is my official schedule as I currently have it:

FRIDAY, Mackinac East, 11:00 AM: THE MAKING OF "FAANS". 'Faans' was a video created by Larry Tucker in 1983, in which I appeared a few times. We'll be talking about the making of this epic...
FRIDAY, Ambassador Salon 2, 12:00 noon: MAPS IN FANTASY. I just love maps, even when they're not in books. I have to have maps. Those of us on the panel will be talking about maps -- the whys, the wherefores, the reasons.
FRIDAY, Nicolet A, 3:00 PM: HOW SF & FANTASY APPROACH RELIGION. I'm fascinated by religion despite being a total agnostic myself, and it strikes me that writers must also take religion into consideration when creating a world. See what the rest of the panel thinks.
FRIDAY, Ambassador Salon 1, 7:00 PM: WORLDBUILDING. Hey, I love the process of worldbuilding -- that's part of the kick of the genre. And what's a con without a panel on worldbuilding?
Yeah, that's gonna be one BUSY Friday (*whew*)... I'm also supposed to have a Kaffeeklatsch, but I don't know the exact time or place of that at moment. If you're going to Detcon, check the schedule there!
