We hadn't seen a blue jay around the feeder for awhile, but its recently shown up again. And hey, if we could catch a cardinal on the feeder at the same time, we'd have red, white, and blue for July 4th... but we didn't.

Oh, wow! Just magnificent. Our jays are a lot less colourful (although they are clever and engaging to watch).

I have a brood of juvenile Blue Jays hanging around my yard. They seem to be at the middle-schooler stage, not quite sure what to do with themselves.
