The Archdiocese of Cincinnati's hideous requirement that all teachers in their school system must sign a contract containing a "morality clause" to which they must adhere has reached national news. *Sigh*

Yep, just as I guessed. Unless that story left a lot out, the "morality clause" doesn't say anything about any aspect of morality except what the article coyly describes as "pelvic issues".

Somebody needs to slap the bishop upside the head with a copy of the New Testament.

Many of the teacher in the local parochial school system are laypersons, not priests or nuns. The local archbishop has proclaimed that they must all sign the agreement or they'll be fired.

they should make everyone going to school there sign it too.. all for one and one for all as it were.. that way everyone is accountable.
