Hey, all, this is to let you know that Flywheel -- the nominee for the Wig Party (and if you look at our hairlines, you'll understand why) -- will be announcing their running mate at the Arlin's gig, which will be this Saturday night. We'll playing in the patio outside, assuming good weather (cross your fingers). In between our sets, the Flywheel gang will be giving their stump speech to a wildly apathetic crowd, pitching the Wig Party platform of "Medicare Should Cover Beer" and "Musicians Need More Stimulus." Our foreign policy is quite clear: "Aliens are fine as long as their spaceships obey the speed limits." After the rally will come the big announcement as to our preferred running mate -- which will be, like us, old white male musicians.
The hot rumor is that we're going to pick either Ringo Starr or The Edge, since no one has been able to determine if Keith Richards is actually alive or not. Ringo would be especially good, just in case Tom Vogel explodes on stage.
We'll be playing our first set at 10:00 PM and our second set somewhere between 11:45 and 12:00. You really should be there, because if you're not, you won't be.
