Mary Robinette Kowal blogs about how her latest novel, Glamour in Glass, is missing its first sentence. Mary turns the publisher's mistake into an interesting exercise in identifying famous books by their second sentence, but man, I'd be really ticked off if that happened to me.

This novel, I'm certain, is just as fantastic as her previous one, Shades of Milk and Honey. So don't be holding back because this edition will be missing the first sentence -- heck, that may make it a collector's item!

Why not check it out?

Here's a second sentence from one of my books: "She began life as a jewel in the glittering, slow waters of the Rive A'Sele."
