Gay sent this in an e-mail: Rusty is in the fancyclopedia as a measurement, the Rusty. As it turns out, I'm exactly 1/2 a Rusty...

Hmm... I've been going to "cons" for more than 50 years, but not science fiction conventions (went with parents to newspaper conventions). I've been going to science fiction conventions for 41 years (I think), but not as an sf fan (collecting comics). I've been going to sf cons as a trufan for 39 years next month.

Somehow, I think Rusty would appreciate at least the middle one, and maybe the longer one.

That Fancyclopedia entry makes me smile. And it reminded me that way back when, I bought a print copy of the Fancyclopedia from Rusty.

I'm 0.47 of a Rusty.

I'm .4 of a Rusty. Not bad, considering my age.

I think the fancyclopedia entry gets it wrong on the plural. It's "rustys" not "rusties". Like "days", ending in a y does not necessitate changing the y to ie when adding an s.
