An excellent experience in humility is having a 6th Dan Shihan on the mat with you and watching as you demonstrate techniques for the class to work on.

An excellent experience learning is having that 6th Dan take you to one side of the mat after each technique you show and demonstrating some of the subtleties you missed.

And, I must say, if I were truly centered, then there wouldn't have been any nervousness on my part. All the expectations (and thus anxiety) were coming from inside me; they weren't external at all. :-)
