The worst thing about watching the Republican candidate debate was enduring Wolf Blitzer's inane questions, blatant pandering, and vacuous commentary.
ETA: I don't have the inclination to get out a stopwatch and re-watch the debate, but it seemed to me that while there were eight candidates up there, a few of them received significantly more air time than the others -- it felt as if CNN/Blitzer had already decided that some of the candidate (Hi, Hunstman & Gingrich & Santorum & Paul & Cain) were already out of the race. And if you look at CNN's "Full Coverage" article of the debate (http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/09/12/debate.teaparty/index.html?hpt=hp_c1) and count the number of mentions of names, here's what you get;
Perry: 18
Romney: 11
Bachman: 8
Santorum: 3
Gingrich: 2
Paul: 1
Huntsman: 1
Cain: 1
CNN is apparently already "calling the race" for some of the candidates without a vote being taken.
