Well, at least we hope that TOAST! will appear this Friday evening! There are reports that the volcano Mt. Rumpke is on the verge of a major eruption, and the ash and old trash bags currently venting from the vast crater will disrupt car travel for the region. Things already look dire: Rick Hagee's drive from Good Shepherd Church has been cancelled; Steve Leigh has been detained at the border from Kentucky into Ohio; Tom Vogel is hurriedly wrapping the 10,000 snare drums in his basement so that they're not soiled; Dale Lewis is frantically washing his socks; Steve Gallant has found that wearing a mask interferes with playing his wind instruments; Mike Russell has lost his singing voice due to throat irritation; Tom Steele is worrying that this will depress house sales in the area around Mt. Rumpke, where he has an entire subdivision up for sale.

However, the current weather report has the winds shifting around toward Pisgah by Thursday, which will relieve travel in the Silverton area. So...

The plan is to BE THERE AT SILVERTON CAFE THIS FRIDAY EVENING! This will be our Volcano Relief Concert. You can expect several guest celebrities to appear on stage to help raise funds to aid those most affected by the massive eruption of Mt. Rumpke, and to buy Dale more guitar gear. We're not at liberty to give you any names yet, but word is that the Secret Service will be in attendance.

You should be there too! The Volcano Relief Concert will start at 8:30 and go until 12:30 or until the people on stage outnumber the people in the audience. Come and see Toast for a good cause!

TOAST! is Steve Leigh, Rick Hagee, Steve Gallant, Tom Steele, Dale Lewis, Tom Vogel and, just in case Vogel collapses in the middle of something (since he's getting rather old), Mike Russell.
