Davis Leigh Duo @ College Hills Coffee Company, Saturday, January 2, 7:30 - 9:30
Hey, here it is -- your very first musical event of the New Year! By the 2nd, you'll be partied out and exhausted by the holidays, so what better way to relax than to come to the College Hill Coffee Company (at the corner of North Bend & Hamilton), have someone serve you something delicious (Steve recommends the Expresso Shake), and listen to Mark and Steve regale you with their assortment of eclectic tunes, many of which have never (for good reasons) been attempted by a guitar and vocal duo before.
It's twice as much fun as getting a health care bill through the Senate! And hey, since the gig's from 7:30 to 9:30, if you're really a party animal (or a member of the Cincinnati Fantasy Group), you'll still be able to stay for the whole show and still get to that next round of the parties. You can't lose!
So make your New Year's resolution that you're going to support your poor, starving local musicians, and come listen to the Davis Leigh Duo this Saturday. Mark received a new $40 solid sterling silver guitar pick for Xmas, and Steve has a brand new kazoo he's just dying to solo on -- you know you want to see this!
Mark your calendar (or Steve your calendar if you prefer) for early Saturday evening: come to the College Hill Coffee Company, maybe about 7:00 or so to make sure you get great seats and to order yourself some dinner from their wonderful menu, and stay for a couple hours to hear Mark and Steve play their first gig of 2010!.
