When I talked with Sheila (my editor at DAW) last week, she was in the midst of reading A MAGIC OF DAWN, and said she'd probably get back to me in a week or so with her revision notes. (Anyone who thinks an author simply hands in the manuscript and the editor then publishes it 'as is' hasn't worked with a good editor...)
However, I had an e-mail from her yesterday saying that someone had handed in a very late manuscript for a book slotted for late this year, and so she's had to set aside DAWN to read this, since it's now a rush project. So it may be a bit before Sheila gets back to me. Ah, well. That's the way publishing often goes. Silly late authors!
