I like this one. It's evocative, particularly the "open to the sky" feel... Lockwood did good!

How lovely! They are both beautiful covers, and wonderful in their contrast-yet-clearly-in-a-series feel.

I really like the trend in more sophisticated covers for fantasy novels, and I'm sooooo glad the industry has gone back to full-bleed art!
