Since the news is in Publishers Weekly, I can announce it here also:

"Tor to Relaunch Martin’s Wild Cards

"In a North American rights deal, Kay McCauley at Aurous sold four new books and five relicensed backlist titles in the Wild Cards anthology series edited by George R.R. Martin to Tor. Diana M. Pho acquired the books for six figures. The series was launched at Bantam Books in 1987; it is set in an alternate history in which an alien virus infiltrated Earth after World War II."
--Publishers Weekly, week of March 6, 2017

Tor's not exactly "re-launching" WILD CARDS, since Tor has been re-issuing the older books along with publishing the 'new' sequence since INSIDE STRAIGHT, and continuing with BUSTED FLUSH, SUICIDE KINGS, FORT FREAK, LOWBALL, HIGH STAKES, and the forthcoming MISSISSIPPI ROLL, LOW CHICAGO, and TEXAS HOLD 'EM.  But they've bought four additional new books, and will be re-issuing more of the 'classic' books as well.  But however you want to phrase it, all of us in the Wild Cards Consortium are extremely grateful for Tor Books' continued support of the series!

And in medical news: the dreaded (by me, anyway) colonoscopy is now history, and I don't have to worry about another one for another five years. Huzzah!
