Sorry to take three days to lead up to a bad visual joke, but that's how this warped mind works. Yesterday, I saw actual strange behavior on the feeder. A tufted titmouse would perch on one of the curved steel rods that hold up the feeder, dart down to one of the tubes and grab a seed, then return to the steel rod and hammer the seed on the rod a few times, almost like a woodpecker. Don't know if it was finding the seeds a bit too hard to crack or what. Odd...
