Stonehenge is definitely worth visiting, even with the horribly incompetent way things are set up currently. I can only imagine the cock-ups that this summer tourist season will bring. But along with the impressive ring itself, there are lots of animals about, primarily grazing sheep. And birds: crows and ravens.
Here's a crow perched on the Heel Stone with a tourist underneath. Wonder if the crow finds Stonehenge as awesome?

I hesitate to tell you what Andy and I overheard a student say about the heel stone (*not* one of our students, I hurry to say, and she was proclaiming this without any apparent trace of irony): "It looks just like Jesus!" Wrong on so many levels...
