I've always included birds in pictures when they've made themselves known, as the pics over the next several days will show. This one's probably the oldest: an image from Toronto. It's been a long time since we visited that city -- something Denise and I hope to rectify this summer. The bird in this one is one of the gulls flying by along Lake Ontario, which was a happy accident as i focused on the lonely tree on the beach...

I've finished the revisions on CROW OF CONNEMARA though I'll probably spend the next few days doing some minor fiddling with it before I send it off. Right now, it stands at 123,196 words.

I've seen a "final" cover image for the book, but don't yet have permission to share it (and those who have signed up for the newsletter will get the first look at it, in any case). I'm very happy with the cover. As to a release date... well, Sheila will have to read the revision and give her imprimatur, then slot it into DAW's publishing schedule. Right now, all I can say is "probably sometime in 2015," but that's just speculation.

And now I have to start thinking about what I want to write next, don't I?
